HUMANMETRICS

I just found out that I have a Judging personality and I am a moderate introvert lol! I do think students have different learning styles because of their personality. If they like people then have them work in groups. If they are a little shy then have them read to themselves for a short minuet. We as educators have to play on students strengths rather than weaknesses. I feel that this test would only help me know my students better if they where to take the test them selves and show me thier answer. I belive It would give me the understanding that I need to plain activities based off the different personalities that I have in the classroom.

SPREADSHEET!

I think spreadsheet is a multi purpose tool that is in place to help people organize information to be displayed to an audience. It is very useful because what ever you need, time line, fact sheet, calculations need to be done, or if you like using it to budget your check, it is very useful. I would like to use it in my classroom, have the students keep track of the physical activities or use it to show how much calories they are burning by doing an activity on the program.
We as teachers could use spreadsheet for a number of different items such as keeping up with grades, generating up a new work sheet for the student. The advantage of spreadsheet over a calculator would be that you can do multiple functions at once and retain your answer and display it for the class to see, rather than doing on function and erasing it and doing another function on a small screen compared to the computer screen or projector. I think the textbook was correct on the functions.

Inspiration!

I found a video for Inspiration and I think that is the best presentation program that I have ever seen. It trumps Microsoft PowerPoint in almost every way. You are able to form diagrams and outlines at the same exact time I haven't seen anything like that yet. I would be able to have the kids work on there presentations for class by using this program. I would also be able to change up the way I do time lines, information, and even test and quizzes.
I think the best use of technology would be presentations. It is some much easier and faster to present your project on a screen so that the whole classroom can see it at once oppose to presenting a poster board.
I would have the students help each other during writing by having them work in groups on a project that encompasses writing on both ends. They would check each others work as they go to make sure that they both can make the highest possible grade. Or the blogging idea would be perfect, the students would put up a blog but their other students would and can point out their mistakes by having them respond to one another blog postings.

Assignment 2

I think using blogs in class is a very unique idea. It is very different from what I have been taught with. Believe using blogs gives you the opportunity to express your ideas openly and give the student the power to network through out the classroom when they are not even in class. It is a very convent tool that if implemented correctly it could open up ever more revolutionary ideas amongst the students. Since I am a physically education major I could see technology being used like computers keeping track of the students health progress through out the school year. You could also use cellphone based scavenger hunt games to lead the students to explore their campus through their phone.
